The Piano

Three people are eating at a pretty picnic.

After the horrendous events of the previous quarter, Chad Waddell of Inkshop Townes, Inc. knew that he needed a hit. He held auditions for a new artist, but no one could meet his exacting standards. His last applicant band, collectively known as Starstruck Disco Rip-Offs, twinkled the ivories for Waddell to no avail.

Waddell placed his head in his hands and sighed miserably. Life was horrible and he wanted to die. His thoughts turned back to his childhood, when he'd dreamed of being a rock star himself. Perhaps, he thought, now was the time to make his move. He had nothing to lose and everything to win. He dismissed the Starstruck Disco Rip-Offs and made a call to his most famous has-been star, Todd Delzinko, frontman for the Pus-Encrusted Bandits and writer of the hit songs Fury of the Lovely Swan Monsters and U Taint All Dat, Foo.

Perhaps with the burnt-out skills of a former great and the vigor and excitement of a disconsolable record exec, sweet, profitable music could be made. Or perhaps not. Waddell, however, had to find out!
