The Piano page 3

Very little monkeys are all over the jungle!

The next day, Delzinko arrived early. He sat down at the piano and banged out a tune. Waddell thought it was horrible.

"This is the best thing I've ever written!" Todd exclaimed merrily. His eyes sparkled

Waddell frowned. He wondered if he should tell his employee that he was terrible. Suddenly, a sprite appeared out of nowhere and sat on the piano.

"I am a magical sprite named Discombobuloso!" screamed the sprite before it disappeared again.

"Todd," Waddell said slowly, "That song is crap. It sounds like that Small World song."

Tears filled Delzinko's eyes; a few drops of the bitter fluid of sorrow spilled out and slid unimpeded down his face. Silently, Waddell watched his star wilt before his eyes.

"Why can't you write a song like you did for Pus-Encrusted Bandits?" Waddell asked cautiously.

"No!" screamed Todd. "I didn't even write those songs! I found them in a magical toilet at the bus station! Homeless leprechauns wrote them and left them there for me!"

The former star broke down into a violent weeping fit. Waddell began to fear the worst when there was a knock at the door.
